    Description

    In Barcelona, I saw a building with a curved upper part. In this building, not only the upper part of the facade but also the shape of the veranda and its iron fence are curved.
    The top of each window is carved with an organic design.

    Such buildings accentuate the straight lines of the city landscape and make walking around the city more enjoyable.

    I found it interesting to see buildings with contrasting designs of straight and curved lines standing next to each other, so I drew them on the spot. I started drawing with a black marker, and when my hand stopped for a moment, I switched the marker to a blue pencil and finished the rest.

    All drawings were drawn live on site.

    When Takayuki walks and encounters a sight he likes, he stops there, takes out the paper and marker pen, and draws while standing on the spot.

    If he wants to make a strong and clear line, first he draws an outline from the object that caught his eye with a marker pen, and then add a shadow with a pencil.

    When he wants to make a soft expression, he may draw only with pencils without using a marker pen, and conversely, he may finish with only a marker pen without using a pencil.

    The drawing that he draws while putting himself in that space, standing alone for a while, has the power to convey the atmosphere of the place. He thinks that it can be expressed differently from photography.
